ETNA
With its 3350m high, Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe. World Heritage Site since 2013, presents a composite geological and landscape variety; frequent eruptive activity determines a continuous evolution of its morphology, especially on the sides of the mountain, where over time singular valleys have formed, side vents, caves and deserts that have become attractive destinations for research and excursions. Among the most interesting are the VALLE DEL BOVE, large depression on the east side of the volcano covered by lava flows interspersed with real small isolated oases of vegetation, known as 'Dagale'.
Nourished the range of practicable activities and places to visit, both under the bright summer and winter sun on the snow covering the peaks and sides.
