Giarre capital of gardening

B&B Villa Maria in Giarre, it is only a few km from Pure root, the botanical park that from 27 April 2019 al 27 October will host the projects of international landscape architects and talented young people.

Their plans will become gardens to visit.

Having nourished the calendar of events, we start with thematic workshops, then a literary review, a film festival and art installations, but there will also be family days and musical evenings.

Among the unmissable events we point out:

the meeting with the garden photographer Clive Nicholson (in collaboration with Gardenia, media partner of the event) who will be the protagonist of a class dedicated to this theme.
The professor. Joseph Barbera, one of the greatest agronomists and scholars of the agricultural and historical landscape, will present the book Tuttifrutti, dedicated to the history of fruit trees in Italy.

Aboca will curate three botanical walks for the festival starting May 1st.

Antonio Perazzi will animate the workshop “Paradise is a wild garden”, during which it will be possible to work on the design of a garden, while Sarah Eberle will star from 18 al 22 giugno di How to design a garden for a luxury hotel, design workshop for the green spaces of the gardens of the Belmond Timeo and Belmond Villa Sant'Andrea hotels in Taormina.

Edward Pepino will explore the theme of the Labyrinth by Franco Maria Ricci and Giuppi Pietromarchi will lead us on his journey through the Mediterranean vegetation with the book Morocco in bloom.

It will be activated in August Festival Garden in Movies & Short film festival. The last three Sundays of September will host the literary review "La Ginestra sul Cortile”With the participation of important Italian and international writers. Every Sunday botanical conversations, home garden, citrus and aromas. In collaboration with theUniversity of Catania a summer school with international speakers will be activated.
Finally the musical events with national and international guests starting from May 1st they will animate and accompany the whole festival.
