The Bellini Festival returns to Catania
It opened in Catania last year 23 September, day of the celebration of the death of Vincenzo Bellini, the XIV edition of Bellini Festival. The review, founded by Enrico Castiglione, one of the most successful and well-known theater director and set designer of his generation, was born from the strong desire to enhance Vincenzo Bellini's enormous musical heritage, one of the greatest musicians of all time. The rich program of events will end on 3 November, day on which Bellini's birth is celebrated.

SLEEP WALK, at 20.30 at the Metropolitan Theater of Catania, serious opera in two acts, composed by Vincenzo Bellini in just two months at the beginning of 1831 on libretto by Felice Romani, it is considered with Norma and I puritani, one of the three masterpieces of the Prince of Belcanto. Stellar cast, telecast, with the direction, the sets and costumes by Enrico Castiglione.

The photographic exhibition “On the sacred stones: Norma at the Ancient Theater of Taormina ”curated by Dominik Giliberto, dedicated to Bellini's masterpiece signed by Enrico Castiglione, will be open until 3 November.
Gives Villa Maria you can easily reach Catania by car and by train (the railway station is just a few meters away) in about 20 minutes.
